Description

Soft and savory garlic butter pull-apart rolls, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup warm water (105-115°F or 40-46°C)
  • 1 cup warm milk (105-115°F or 40-46°C)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let stand for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together warm milk, melted butter, and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture to the milk mixture. Gradually add 3 1/2 cups of flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, adding more flour as needed, until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
  8. Shape each piece of dough into a ball. Dip each ball into the garlic butter mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
  9. Arrange the coated dough balls closely together in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  10. Cover the pan and let the rolls rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  11. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  12. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  13. Serve warm.

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
  • You can make the dough ahead of time and refrigerate it overnight before shaping and baking.
