  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced apples with 1/4 cup of the brown sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, oats, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into a baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
