Delicious brownies made with walnut and sourdough discard.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter and sugar.
- Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Add sourdough discard and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before cutting and serving.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of walnuts to your preference.
- For a fudgier brownie, slightly underbake.
- Store brownies in an airtight container.
