This Ultimate Super Bowl Mac & Cheese Bake is a crowd-pleasing dish perfect for game day.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  3. Melt butter in a large saucepan. Whisk in flour.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  5. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove from heat. Stir in cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  7. Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce.
  8. Pour into a greased baking dish.
  9. Mix bread crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over mac and cheese.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
