Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pecan halves in the unbaked pie crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Stir in the melted butter and bourbon.
  5. Pour the filling over the pecans in the pie crust.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped bittersweet chocolate evenly over the filling.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the crust is golden brown.
