- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the unbaked pie crust on a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, melted butter, and corn syrup.
- Gradually whisk in the beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Stir in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is almost set but still slightly jiggly.
- Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a glossier filling, you can add 1 tablespoon of bourbon to the filling mixture.
