- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together sugar and butter.
- Beat in eggs, then milk, lemon juice, and zest.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in poppy seeds.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Whisk together powdered sugar and lemon juice for the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled loaf.
