- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (16 oz) frozen tater tots
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, and garlic powder into the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring until heated through.
- Pour the beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the casserole is bubbly.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a diced onion to the ground beef while cooking.
- Feel free to substitute cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom soup.
- If you prefer a crispier top, you can broil the casserole for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
