Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (16 oz) frozen tater tots


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, black pepper, and garlic powder into the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring until heated through.
  4. Pour the beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
  6. Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a diced onion to the ground beef while cooking.
  • Feel free to substitute cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom soup.
