These tasty pecan pie bars feature a buttery pie crust base topped with a classic pecan pie filling. They are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Press the pie crust into the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, salt, and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the pecan mixture evenly over the pie crust in the pan.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the crust is golden brown.
  7. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, you can blind bake the pie crust for 10 minutes before adding the filling.
  • Ensure the bars are fully cooled before slicing to prevent them from falling apart.
  • These bars can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
