- 1 package refrigerated pie crust
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Press the pie crust into the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, salt, and melted butter until well combined.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture evenly over the pie crust in the pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the crust is golden brown.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a crispier crust, you can blind bake the pie crust for 10 minutes before adding the filling.
- Ensure the bars are fully cooled before slicing to prevent them from falling apart.
