Description

A quick and easy one-pan meal with ground beef, rice, and classic taco flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, avocado


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add onion and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water.
  4. Bring to a boil, then add rice.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in black beans and salsa.
  7. Top with cheese and cook until melted.
  8. Serve with your favorite toppings.

  • Adjust the amount of taco seasoning to your taste.
  • You can use any type of rice you prefer. Cooking time may vary.
