Description

This recipe offers a delicious sweet and savory Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken. It’s easy to make and perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts (2 lbs)
  • Teriyaki sauce (1 cup)
  • Soy sauce (1/4 cup)
  • Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Ginger (1 tsp, grated)
  • Cornstarch (1 tbsp)
  • Water (2 tbsp)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Green onions (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the Crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove chicken from Crockpot and shred with two forks.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water.
  7. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the Crockpot and stir to thicken the sauce.
  8. Return the shredded chicken to the Crockpot and stir to coat.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  10. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • For a thicker sauce, add more cornstarch.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
