Ingredients
- Chicken breasts (2 lbs)
- Teriyaki sauce (1 cup)
- Soy sauce (1/4 cup)
- Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Ginger (1 tsp, grated)
- Cornstarch (1 tbsp)
- Water (2 tbsp)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the Crockpot.
- In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove chicken from Crockpot and shred with two forks.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water.
- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the Crockpot and stir to thicken the sauce.
- Return the shredded chicken to the Crockpot and stir to coat.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- For a thicker sauce, add more cornstarch.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
