Description

A delicious and easy dump cake recipe featuring strawberries and pineapple.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 container (16 ounces) strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into thin slices


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple with its juice into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Layer the sliced strawberries over the pineapple.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the strawberries.
  5. Place the thin slices of butter on top of the cake mix.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is set.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can use fresh or frozen strawberries. If using frozen, do not thaw.
  • For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the pineapple.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
