- 2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, and melted butter.
- Whisk in eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- Gradually add evaporated milk, mixing until smooth.
- Pour filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Let cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh sweet potatoes.
- You can add a dollop of whipped cream before serving.
- Adjust spices to your preference.
