This Southern Peach Cobbler features a buttery crust and sweet, juicy peaches.
Ingredients

- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Additional sugar for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange peach slices over the batter.
- Sprinkle with sugar (optional).
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- You can use frozen peaches. Thaw them before using.
- Adjust the sugar based on the sweetness of your peaches.
