Description

A hearty Southern-style casserole featuring BBQ chicken and cornbread.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 (14.75 ounce) can creamed corn
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 box cornbread mix, prepared


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine chicken, creamed corn, whole kernel corn, and BBQ sauce in a bowl.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the chicken mixture.
  5. Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions.
  6. Pour cornbread batter over the chicken and cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until cornbread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
