Description

Quick and easy smashburger quesadillas. A simple recipe for a delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter


Instructions

  1. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions. Flatten each portion into a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place patties in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Remove patties from skillet. While the skillet is still warm, place one tortilla in it.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese and half of the Monterey Jack cheese over the tortilla.
  5. Place a cooked beef patty on top of the cheese.
  6. Fold the tortilla in half.
  7. Cook quesadilla for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from skillet and cut into wedges. Repeat with remaining tortillas, cheese, and beef.
  9. Melt butter in the skillet between quesadilla batches if needed.
