- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces pasta, cooked according to package directions
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
- Add the diced tomatoes, condensed soup, water, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the cooked pasta and shredded cheddar cheese, if using. Cook for a few minutes until the cheese is melted and the pasta is heated through.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of water.
- Add your favorite vegetables like peas or corn for extra nutrition.
