Description

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-3 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven or grill.
  2. Brush baguette slices with olive oil.
  3. Toast baguette slices until golden.
  4. In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and sugar. Heat until thickened into a glaze.
  6. Top toasted baguette slices with tomato mixture.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  8. Serve immediately.
