Ingredients

  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • Maraschino cherries, for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple with its juice into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple. Do not mix.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Top with cherries if desired.
