Description
Oven-baked Pig Shots are a delicious and easy appetizer. They combine savory sausage with a creamy cheese filling, all wrapped in bacon.

- 1 pound bacon, thinly sliced
- 1 pound Conecuh sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon your favorite BBQ rub
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and green onions.
- Wrap each sausage piece with a slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick.
- Fill each bacon-wrapped sausage with a teaspoon of the cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle the tops with BBQ rub.
- Place the pig shots on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can use any type of sausage you like.
- Feel free to add other cheeses or seasonings.
- For extra flavor, use flavored bacon.
