Description

A comforting pasta bake inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak, featuring savory ground beef, tender pasta, bell peppers, and melted provolone cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound pasta, cooked according to package directions
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 ounces provolone cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Add the chopped bell pepper and onion to the skillet with the beef. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and milk until smooth.
  6. Add the cooked pasta, cream cheese mixture, and shredded provolone cheese to the skillet with the beef and vegetables. Stir well to combine.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bake is heated through.
  10. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
