- 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss sliced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and oats.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Place apple mixture in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apples.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- For a crispier topping, use a food processor to combine the topping ingredients.
- You can substitute other types of apples, like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.
