Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup almond slices
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss sliced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Place apples in a baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, combine flour, oats, almond slices, brown sugar, and salt.
  5. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle topping over apples.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
