A delicious apple crisp with a crunchy almond topping.
Ingredients

- 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond slices
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss sliced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Place apples in a baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine flour, oats, almond slices, brown sugar, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle topping over apples.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- You can substitute other nuts for almonds.
