Description

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Shape half of the turkey mixture into a loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
  4. Press the shredded mozzarella cheese into the center of the loaf.
  5. Top with the remaining turkey mixture, sealing the edges to enclose the cheese.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
