Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 ounces rice noodles
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook rice noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add oil, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Pour sauce over the beef mixture. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Add cooked rice noodles to the skillet. Toss to combine.
