Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 8 ounces rice noodles
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook rice noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain any excess grease.
- Add oil, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Pour sauce over the beef mixture. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Add cooked rice noodles to the skillet. Toss to combine.
- Garnish with sliced green onions.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
- You can add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli.
- Serve immediately.
