  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 8 ounces rice noodles
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook rice noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  4. Add onion and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in garlic.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, water, cornstarch, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  6. Pour sauce over beef and onion. Bring to a simmer and cook until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.
