- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Serve the ground beef mixture over cooked rice.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Adjust the red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
- You can add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers.
