Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  5. Serve the ground beef mixture over cooked rice.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
