Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
  • 2 tablespoons water (optional, if using cornstarch)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken thighs to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  7. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl, then stir into the skillet during the last few minutes of cooking. Simmer until sauce thickens.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
