- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening sauce)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional, if using cornstarch)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper if desired.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken thighs to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl, then stir into the skillet during the last few minutes of cooking. Simmer until sauce thickens.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference.
