Description

A savory turkey meatloaf topped with a sweet and tart cranberry glaze, perfect for autumn dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp orange juice


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf in a baking dish.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, brown sugar, and orange juice. Cook over medium heat until cranberries burst and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Pour the cranberry glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute dried cranberries for fresh ones.
  • For a spicier glaze, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg.
