Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Stir in cabbage, diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables, like carrots or bell peppers.
- Adjust the seasonings to your taste.
- Serve with a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh herbs, if desired.
