- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
- Pour in white wine or chicken broth and lemon juice.
- Simmer for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Serve over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preference.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon before serving.
