- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
- Shred the chicken with two forks.
- Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
Notes
- For thicker sauce, you can whisk in a cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp cold water) during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- You can add vegetables like broccoli or carrots during the last hour of cooking.
