- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the wet ingredients. Mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar.
- You can add chocolate chips to the batter.
- Store blondies in an airtight container at room temperature.
