Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh cherries, pitted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the pitted cherries in the prepared dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt.
  4. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the cherries.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the clafoutis is golden and set.
  7. Let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
