Description

Rich and fudgy Double Chocolate Sourdough Discard Brownies. Perfect for using up sourdough discard.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in vanilla and eggs until combined.
  4. Add sourdough discard and mix well.
  5. Gradually add flour, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool completely before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
  • For extra richness, use dark chocolate chips.
