- 1 pound pasta, such as spaghetti or linguine
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Pour in white wine and cook for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Stir in heavy cream, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 1-2 minutes, until sauce slightly thickens.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
- You can use frozen shrimp, thaw them before cooking.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your preference.
- Feel free to add other vegetables, such as cherry tomatoes or spinach.
