Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta, such as spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Pour in white wine and cook for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 1-2 minutes, until sauce slightly thickens.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine.
  8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
