Description

A delicious and easy creamy chicken soup.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in a slow cooker.
  2. Add onion, carrots, celery, garlic, and chicken broth.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken and shred with two forks.
  5. Return chicken to the slow cooker.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  7. Heat through for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  9. Serve hot.
