Description

A quick and easy creamy garlic parmesan chicken pasta dish perfect for a weeknight dinner. This recipe takes only 30 minutes from start to finish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  4. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can add vegetables like broccoli or spinach to this dish for extra nutrition.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic to your preference.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
