Description

Delicious brownies made with cream cheese and sourdough discard.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together sourdough discard and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add sugar and melted butter, mixing well.
  4. Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into a greased and floured baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool completely before cutting and serving.
