- 1 pound country-style sausage
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Brown sausage in a skillet. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet; cook until softened.
- Transfer sausage mixture to a slow cooker.
- Stir in rice, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, or until rice is tender.
- Serve hot.
