Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Add sugar, salt, milk, and egg. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough and cut into squares.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry beignets until golden.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
