- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cut into pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, and brown sugar.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Place the apple mixture in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
