- 3-4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- For the Swirl:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mash the bananas.
- Add melted butter and sugar. Mix well.
- Stir in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter into the pan and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter.
- You can add chopped nuts to the batter for extra texture.
