Description

Delicious chocolate pecan pie bars are a perfect dessert. They are easy to make and serve.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together flour, cocoa, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press into a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Whisk together brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  7. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
  8. Pour over the crust.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Let cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor.
