Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain any excess grease.
- Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in rice, beef broth, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is tender.
- Pour mixture into a baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
- Use your favorite type of cheese.
