- 1 lb potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess fat.
- Add the sliced potatoes and chopped onion to the skillet with the ground beef. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir to combine all ingredients.
- Cover the skillet and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Remove the cover, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake uncovered for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a crispier top, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or corn.
