- 1 bag pretzel rods
- 1 bag caramels (about 11 oz)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or other nuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unwrap caramels and place them in a microwave-safe bowl with water.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and melted.
- Dip each pretzel rod halfway into the melted caramel, letting excess drip off.
- Place dipped pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.
- Immediately sprinkle with chopped nuts or sprinkles, if using.
- Let the caramel set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
Notes
- For a thinner caramel dip, add a little more water, one teaspoon at a time.
- You can also use caramel squares for dipping.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
