Description

These easy Brie and Cranberry Bites are perfect for any occasion. They combine creamy brie with tart cranberries in a flaky pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 4 oz brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 12 equal squares.
  3. Place a small cube of brie cheese in the center of each pastry square.
  4. Top the brie with about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
  5. Bring the edges of the pastry up and over the filling, pinching to seal and form a small purse or bundle.
  6. Place the bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops of the bites with the beaten egg wash.
  8. If using, sprinkle with fresh rosemary.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the brie is not too melty when cutting.
  • Canned or homemade cranberry sauce works well.
  • For a sweeter bite, add a drizzle of honey before serving.
