Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of challah bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • Butter for greasing the dish
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, maple syrup, whipped cream


Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the bread cubes to the egg mixture and toss gently to coat.
  4. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
