- 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes, oil-packed, drained
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 ounces thinly sliced Italian salami
- 4 ounces thinly sliced provolone cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, garlic powder, and pepper.
- Unroll crescent dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- Layer salami and provolone cheese on top.
- Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one short end.
- Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Slice the roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
- Place pinwheels on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute other Italian meats or cheeses.
- For spicier pinwheels, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- These are great served cold or at room temperature.
